Hello Zorros, 

We’ve got lots of positive updates to share with you. As we mentioned in our previous post, the last of our domestic orders went out over the holiday (with the exception of those that did not complete their surveys or pay shipping charges). We also were able to secure a great discount from our rep at Fed Ex for international shipments. We apologize that it took so long to get that locked in but the discount will be worth the wait. 

We’ve separated the international backers into two groups… group one being the orders that fit into gemini mailers and the second group being orders with larger items like the Master Class and the Artist Edition. We have already packaged all of the gemini mailer orders and are beginning the larger item packaging today. 

As far as shipping charges, we will be sending Backer Kit the list of charges (shipping + taxes/duties) in the next few days for the gemini group and then the large item group once we’ve packaged all of those orders. Once they apply those charges to the international orders you will be able to see your individual shipping cost and update any card information. 

Its exciting to be nearing the end of fulfillment and we thank everyone for their patience while we get these beautiful books out the door in the most cost efficient way while maintaining the quality of packaging we know collectors will appreciate.

Domestic shipments are out the door and we are moving on to International shipments!

Hi Zorros!

We've got great news for the last of our Domestic backers awaiting their rewards! The last wave of domestic shipments are going out over the weekend for all backers who paid their shipping through Backerkit. With the holiday, it will take a few extra days for those rewards to make it to their destinations but tracking should be available through Backerkit at the top of the week. We also have all rewards packaged and ready to ship out for backers who still have not paid their shipping charge, so please make sure you have updated your card on file. We will be reaching out to those backers directly after the holiday. 

Note: Many of the last wave of shipments are split between 2-3 boxes due to the number of books/size of products. So, don't panic if the first box you receive only has part of the order. If the subsequent box doesn't show up within a few days, please reach out so we can check tracking and ensure you receive your full order. 

For international backers, we are still working on securing discounted shipping for those orders through Fedex but that will not stop us from packaging those orders and getting them ready to ship. Once we have the new pricing locked in we will begin charging cards on file through Backerkit and getting those out the door. 

We are grateful for your support and have been pleased to get all the positive feedback on the delivered rewards.

We are back and falling on our sword for missing our last update

Hello Zorros, 

We apologize for missing our usual top of the month update, New York Comic Con and the super villain known as “Con Crud” took its toll on our team. As many of you saw, Sean and Massive were part of this years NYCC event and we brought a few display copies of the Master Class and Artist Edition to show off at our respective booths. We are very excited for the reception they received and the overwhelming sentiment that these were some of the nicest quality books fellow creatives and fans had seen. We did keep the pre-order page up for fans who had missed out on the campaign, but those orders will not be filled until after all Domestic and International backers have had their orders filled and are subject to availability (We will make sure 100% of backer orders are fulfilled before shipping a single pre-order). We saw that there was some panic from backers who hadn't received their Master Class editions yet, but we assure you those are on their way and we should have done a better job communicating with you once we got back. 

As for the fulfillment progress, we should have all domestic backer’s orders sent out within the next week or two. International backer orders have been getting packaged by our fulfillment team but we did hit a snag with charging shipping for those orders… Unfortunately, the shipping option we had planned on using for all international orders is no longer available and we are working on locking in pricing with a new provider that comes in as close to that original option as possible. Once we’ve finalized the pricing for those shipments we will charge that through Backerkit, so make sure to update any cards/address on file via the Backerkit platform. 

We also have A LOT of failed shipping charges for domestic backers (which is 100% our fault for not taking into account the time between the kickstarter closing  and fulfillment resulting in so many card changes.) So, please utilize Backerkit to update the card you have on file, so that we can get your orders out to you. 

Apologies again for being out of touch while we caught back up.  Once you get these gorgeous books in your hands we hope the additional months of waiting will sting a bit less.

International shipping and how we are protecting these books

We wanted to give a quick update on a few more items we are seeing asked in the comments and messages often. 

INTERNATIONAL SHIPPING
We are nearing the end of our domestic fulfillment (I believe there are about 300 orders left to package up) and are setting our sights on starting the international fulfillment. These orders are a bit more complicated due to the country-specific requirements for shipping so we wanted to wait on charging those until we were just about to start getting them out. That being said, please verify your shipping info on your Backerkit order page to ensure we have accurate details to provide our shipping carrier. We will be charging cards through BackerKit so please verify that your card on file is also up to date. 

PACKAGING FOR KS BOOKS
A previous post gave the impression that we were just placing books into FedEx mailers and shipping out without additional protection. That is not the case. Orders that don't contain larger items like the Master Class and Artist Edition are bagged/boarded, bubble wrapped, packaged inside of a Gemini Comic Mailer and then put into the FedEx bubble mailer. We have received very positive feedback on the security of this method. Any larger items like the Master Class and Artist Editions are being packaged in larger FedEx flatrate boxes not bubble mailers.

Hello Zorros

As we continue to ship out rewards for the Zorro Campaign we have had a few FAQs popping up regarding tracking. Our shipping is being handled by Fed Ex primarily and we are getting daily pick ups and regular deliveries of shipping supplies to keep the process flowing. Once we print the shipping labels and the books are picked up you should be getting an email from Backerkit with your tracking information. You should also be able to find it by going into your Backerkit account directly. 

We are about 50% complete so if you haven't received a notification yet, don't worry, your package will ship out soon. We still have a chunk of backers that have not updated their payment info with Backerkit for us to be able to charge the shipping costs, those orders will be packaged and ready to go out the door once that has been updated/processed. 

We also appreciate all the positive feedback from the backers who have received their rewards. We are doing everything we can to make sure these books are worth the wait and arrive in the best condition possible.
